SEBA HSLC Evaluation Criteria 2024

SEBA said that the calculation of class 10 results will be done with the 40-40-20 formula. The officials will follow these steps to evaluate the mark scheme:

• 40 percent marks will come from class 9 annual exam and another 40 percent marks will be from class 10 exam.
• The remaining 20 percent marks will be given by the schools to the students.
• SEBA said that evaluation will be based on attendance, internal assessment etc., will be considered for awarding 20 per cent marks.
• Schools will have to keep their results of the last three years giving 20 per cent marks. The variation should be within 10 per cent, it said. For schools that do not have records of students appearing for Class 10 exams, 70 percent marks will be awarded from Class 9 onwards, and the remaining 30 percent will be given to schools.
• SEBA said the formula would be the same for repeaters.
• The board said that for the differently-abled students who have not taken any examination, it will be up to the schools to mark them.
